Tom Jones and I took a grand tour of the Mountain West in 1984, and our first stop was the magnificent
Meteor Crater just a little North of Interstate 40, near Winslow, Arizona. I had been there before, as a child,
with my parents and my sisters. It didn't change much! It's nearly a mile wide, over 500 feet deep, and about
50,000 years old. I had a little Kodak Disc camera at the time, which took very grainy pictures. Jones had a
35mm "instamatic" of some sort, so these pictures above are probably his. I stitched them together here.
